Vanessa Goes Green

Daddy makes us put our waste into 6 different bins and is very proud that we barely ever have to put our trash can at the curb. It seems pretty silly if you ask me. Why should I recycle!? Well, according to this great little book here, our trash is full of valuable resources. And by recycling as much as we can we reduce our burden on the planet. Our disposable culture is depleting our renewable and non-renewable resources at an alarming rate. Don't you think that my friends and I are entitled to the same opportunities that you have now? So why should YOU recycle? For me.

OK, I'll get off my soapbox now. When I was done reading, daddy continued to take some more photos. See how fast I can crawl?

Every model needs to know the over-the-shoulder look.

Remember: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE! Then, and only then, consider throwing something away! And didn't you know? Green is the new black.

Pics from Mimi

Mommy has been picking up some days at work which means some quality time with the grandparents. We always have lots of fun and Mimi was nice enough to email some photos she took while here.

Hi there! Would you say I'm the cutest granddaughter ever?

Yea! Daddy's home!

Thanks Mimi and Pap Pap! I had a great time!

When Daddy came home, we thought we'd show off my swinging skills to the G-parents. I think they enjoyed it almost as much as me!

Hey! Who stopped this thing? How about a push Dad?

Thanks for babysitting me Mimi and Pap Pap! I really enjoy our time together! And I'm pretty sure Mommy and Daddy appreciate it too!

Feeling Better

Yucky! I just had my first cold this weekend. At least my parents were nice enough to join me, making us one big sick family. My Uncle Mark was in town and I barely got to see him. And dad was so preoccupied he didn't even get a picture of me with him. Anyway, I am starting to feel a little better and mom and dad were so happy to see me smiling they took a few photos.

I am starting to get the hang of this sippy cup thing.

Posing for pictures is a lot easier now that I can hold myself up on things.

Mommy worked so hard to make me feel better this weekend. I love her so much.

This is a fun game I play with mommy. Every so often I look down just to make sure she's still there.

A is for Adorable, wouldn't you agree?

I'm going to try and stay away from icky germs from now on. Being sick is no fun. But at least you get lots of attention from mom and dad! I especially enjoyed the 4AM car rides to help me fall asleep.
