Happy Birthday Pap-Pap!

Today is Pap-Pap's birthday so we all went out for some Mexican food and margaritas at Carmelita's! Well, I didn't have any margaritas, but you know what I mean. Afterward we came back to our house to have cake and just hang out for a while. Of course, I missed out on the cake also. Sheesh. Anyway, I got to hang out with Pap-Pap and Mimi which is always fun.
Happy Birthday Pap-Pap! Thanks for letting me tag along on your special day. I think I'm starting to see why my daddy is such a good daddy!

Mommy's Day!

We recently celebrated a holiday that was just for all the mommies! It was great fun and I got to see my Nana again (my mama's mama). And on Mother's Day I got see spend time with my mama, my Nana and my Mimi (dada's mama).

While Nana was here I really enjoyed cuddling with her.

She's so sweet to me!

I think I see a resemblance!

I love tummy time and it's even better when Mama joins me on the floor.

Some of you know I love partying with my animal friends (remember that picture of me and Giraffe?). My pal the Spider Monkey likes giving big hugs and he says all kinds of funny things.

Up up and away! Flying baby is comin at ya!

Daddy's usually the one pointing the camera at me, but Mommy and Pap-Pap took over for a little bit so I could pose for a few shots with the big guy.

Here is a standard family portrait. Daddy says they're for historical purposes, but I just find them boring. So I looked out the window instead. Besides, who wants to stare at a camera propped up on a coffee table?

OK boys, step aside and let the ladies shine. It is their day after all. I haven't been around too long, but I am noticing that Mommy does lots of work. Does anyone else find it silly that we just give them one day a year?

The three generations all together!

I still haven't figured out how to turn my cuteness off.

Yee-Haw!! It may not be a horse, but riding Mimi's stuffed beagle was fun enough! Both of my parents owned beagles before so maybe they'll get one (or at least some kind of dog) when I get a little older!

Happy Mother's Day mommy! I hope your first one was wonderful. Thanks for being my mommy. You're the best.

Thanks for visiting Nana! I had a blast! Happy Mother's Day to my mommy, Nana and Mimi and all you mothers out there.

Jet-setting Baby!

Yeah, so I traveled to Texas recently. I flew in a big jet 30,000 feet above the ground through clouds, turbulence and stuff. The airline lost my luggage. No big deal. Mommy and daddy's good friend Ross was getting married so it was off to Texas so I could meet some of their college friends. They said I wasn't old enough yet to hear any stories.

The trip started off great. Uncle Mark and Aunt Leah were headed back to D.C. around the same time and we happened to bump into them at our gate! Yeah, more play time!

Uncle Mark is even goofier than daddy!

Ross and Rachel did things right and had an outdoor ceremony and reception. The weather was beautiful, so we just hung out on our blanket and enjoyed the day. And yeah, I know I'm totally cute in hats.

I haven't crawled yet and I have been thinking about just skipping it altogether and going straight to walking. You can kind of see the stroller handles in the background. That's the loaner American Airlines gave us since mine was probably halfway to Canada at the time.

There were lots of fun kids to play with at the wedding, but this one really liked hanging out with me and mommy.

The wedding was overlooking the Guadalupe River. We went down just after dark to sit on the dock for a little bit.

I was real comfortable with Liz, even if she's married to someone named "Nasty." Why do all of my parents' college friends have silly nicknames?

Here's that Nasty fella I was talking about. He seemed pretty nice to me. Daddy got photos of his other friends, but none with me. And since this is my blog, I'm only posting photos directly related to me. Sorry boys!

What a fun trip! Thank you Ross and Rachel for inviting us to your awesome wedding. I had a lot of "firsts" which were all fun, except for having my luggage lost. I thought I would be at least 1 year old before that happened to me. Oh well, like father like daughter I guess!

I'm Baptized! (whatever that means)

Mommy and daddy have been taking me to St. Paul's church most weekends and so far I like it. I must admit all that listening makes me pretty tired, so I often sleep through most of it. But recently it was even more fun than usual. I got to have bath time, but it was up in front of everybody!

Here is daddy's side of the family. We pulled this thing together pretty last minute to coincide with a visit from Uncle Mark and Aunt Leah. Luckily, I get to see mommy's side of the family soon!

Here are my new godparents. Mark (who is also my uncle) and Christine who is one of mommy's best friends. Aren't I adorable?

Here are my two sets of parents; God and non-God (well, you know what I mean).

I love mommy. People always say I look like her (what a compliment)!

Uncle Mark and Aunt Leah.

Daddy said he was going to take some real nice photos of me in my baptism gown, but of course he never got around to it. That's OK, I know he's busy. At least he brought his camera and took a few photos. And Mimi and Leah also took lots of great photos for us. Thanks guys!

Excersaucin'

I don't like just sitting around. I need activities to hold my attention. So I was super excited to get this great toy with lots of spinning and bouncing and shaking gadgets all over it. I like to play in it until I get tired and then I usually get mad and take it out on the little circus animals.

Hi Dad!

Hey guys! This is the excersaucer I was talking about. Pretty sweet, huh? It's like my own private circus (without those freaky clowns!)

Dad, you're picture-taking is starting to interrupt my play time.
